The Heart of Our Annual Toy Drive
We have had Santa James and Mrs. Claus at our annual Toy Drive event for the past three years, and they have done an outstanding job interacting with our guests and creating memorable experiences through photos and personal engagement.
This event means a great deal to me as Fire Chief. It is our department's largest annual community event, dedicated to collecting and distributing Christmas toys to children in need. Planning Santa’s visit should feel easy. Here are quick answers to the questions families and event hosts ask most often.
How far ahead should I request a Santa visit?
As early as possible—especially for December weekends and Christmas Eve. Submit your preferred date and time, along with a backup choice when possible, and Santa will confirm availability before any payment is requested.
Does sending a request reserve my date?
No. The first form is only a request. Santa will confirm availability and share the complete price privately. Your date is reserved after the details are confirmed in writing and the 50% retainer is received.
What are the payment and cancellation rules?
A 50% retainer reserves the confirmed date. Cancel at least seven full days before the visit for a complete refund, including the retainer. Inside seven days, the retainer is nonrefundable. The remaining balance is due immediately after the visit. Read all business policies.
How long can Santa stay?
Visits can be planned for 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes, with longer appearances available for larger events. We’ll help you choose enough time so the visit feels personal instead of rushed.
Can Mrs. Claus appear by herself?
Mrs. Claus is available for duo appearances with Santa. She is not available for individual visits.
Is Santa’s beard real?
Yes. San Antonio Santa is a real-bearded Santa, bringing an authentic look along with a warm and professional experience.
Are Santa and Mrs. Claus background checked and insured?
Yes. Santa and Mrs. Claus have completed active background checks, and San Antonio Santa is insured for professional appearances. Documentation can be provided to event hosts when requested.
What if a child is shy, nervous, or needs extra time?
That is completely okay. Santa uses a patient, gentle approach and never forces an interaction or photograph. Parents can share helpful comfort or accessibility notes after the visit is confirmed.
Can we take our own photographs?
Yes. Families and event hosts are welcome to take photographs. A professional photographer with optional on-site prints may also be available when requested.
Are Santa and Mrs. Claus pet friendly?
Yes! Santa and Mrs. Claus are happy to include friendly family pets in the Christmas visit or photographs when arranged ahead of time. Please tell us about the pet in your booking request, keep a responsible owner present and in control, and never force an animal to participate if it seems uncomfortable.
Can Santa hand out gifts that we provide?
Yes. We’ll plan the handoff ahead of time so gifts stay hidden and reach the correct children. Clearly labeled gifts make everything much easier during the visit.
What areas do Santa and Mrs. Claus serve?
Visits are available throughout San Antonio and surrounding communities. Include your city or area in the request so we can confirm travel availability.
How is pricing handled?
Each visit is quoted individually based on the date, location, length, type of event, and whether you request Santa alone or Santa and Mrs. Claus together. Submit your preferred date and time, and Santa will confirm availability and share the complete price privately before any payment is requested.
